A Place to Belong
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. (NIV) Acts 2:46-47. The Bible provides excellent examples of what living in community could and should look like. God lives in eternal community, Jesus lived in community with his 12 disciples, and the early church lived in community. Now it’s your turn. Find a place to belong by joinging a LIFEgroup, Community Group or becoming a member of Point of Grace Church.

LIFEgroups
Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.

LIFEgroups are interest based classes which help you build relationships, grow in your spiritual walk and improve yourself. LIFEgroups meet each week to learn about anything from parenting, relationships, finances, prayer, in-depth biblical principles, evangelism and even fitness. These classes are taught by passionate people who want to share their passion with the body of believers. Classes meet between 12-14 weeks, allowing you to try something new each semester. If you would like to teach a LIFEgroup next semester, please contact the church office at 205.943.1190.

Community Groups
Various Times and Locations
A Community Group is a group of people (3-15) meeting regularly to worship Jesus, build relationships, foster church-wide unity, discover relevant principles from the Bible, reach the non-churched and under-churched, develop new leaders, pray for needs and advance the vision of Point of Grace in a setting outside of the four walls. Small Groups vary by topic, interest and location.

Starting a Community Group
True community doesn’t develop overnight, but if you’re dedicated, your Community Group will soon begin to care for each other, grow spiritually, and make a significant, positive impact on those around you. Over time, your Community Group will become less about meetings and more about living life together. If you are interested in building a Community Group here are some helpful hints to get you started:
  • Contact our Education Pastor who can help you with resources
and tips on creating a successful Community Group.
  • Ask people you know if they’d like to start a Community Group.
  • Ask an existing Community Group if they’re open to adding new members.
  • Find a Common Purpose by meeting with people from your area of service, life-stage, recovery group, or Bible study discussion group.
  • Attend GroupLink Periodically, Point of Grace will host a GroupLink Sunday were you can meet people who are interested in starting a new Community Group.

Men's Ministry
Our Men’s Ministry is a multicultural men's ministry dedicated to helping men be the Godly men God calls us to be.  The mission of the men's ministry is to provide men with the opportunity to fellowship, grow and serve with other Christian men.  We want to help you become strong in Christ-like character and a servant leader to your family and in the church. Become a part of our Men’s Ministry and connect to God, His Word, and other men for the purpose of winning, growing and training in Christ. You are invited to join us for the monthly Men’s Breakfast here at Point of Grace Church on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Women of Grace
The women's ministry at Point of Grace endeavors to create an atmosphere where women can realize spiritual maturity, enjoy fellowship, develop their leadership skills, and minister in their homes, the church, their community and the world.  Our goal is that each woman will gain confidence in who God has created her to be and to equip her to fulfill her God-given destiny!  Phillipians 1:6 says "being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." The women of Point of Grace join together in a variety of ways for growth and service through Bible studies, prayer groups, relevant classes, cell groups, fellowships, conferences, luncheons, and missions.

Catalyst Youth
The youth ministry of Point of Grace is dedicated to the restoration and transformation of today’s teenagers, including the places they go and the purposes for which they were created. Their goal is to address the needs of today’s teenager emotionally, intellectually, physically, spiritually, and socially according to Luke 2:52 which states “Jesus increased in wisdom, stature, favor with God, and favor with men” beginning at the age of 12. Catalyst is led by Pastor LaQuan 'Q' Jackson. For more information about Catalyst contact Pastor Q at youth@pgmbirmingham.org.

G.A.P. Kids
Pastor Gregg Zachary and G.A.P. Kids, the Generation as Promised, offers an exciting, fun-filled as well as spiritually challenging experience for your children, kindergarten through sixth grade. Our motto is "worship hard and play hard." And we do exactly that with a variety of fun activities, praise and worship, and the Word of God. We include games, object lessons, puppets, and drama. Each service is presented in a multi-media, animated style which captures and holds every child's attention. The Word of God is not only taught as familiar Bible stories, but also as life application. Your child will be challenged to take what he or she has learned out of the four walls of the church into their family, neighborhood, and school.

Little Sanctuary Nursery
We consider every baby a blessing and promise from the Lord. It is our desire to serve the needs of you and your child as we would serve Christ. We attempt to provide a comfortable environment so that each child may feel happy and loved. The seeds of later trust in God are rooted in an early positive experience at church. The only acceptable nursery is a safe nursery. Point of Grace has gone to great lengths to ensure each child will be nurtured in a safe and secure environment. The nurseries are available during all regularly scheduled services.
