| Reaching Beyond the Four Walls |
Missions and outreach is about sharing God’s love with others, wherever they may be. Matthew 28:19 commands us to “GO and make disciples of all nations." It involves giving our time, talent, and treasure to reach out and care. Point of Grace is committed to taking the gospel outside of the four walls of the church into our community, our country and around the world. We support missions and ministries here and abroad, and we send teams from our church on a variety of home and foreign missions.
Point of Grace has sponsored many outreach projects in our community and in the City of Birmingham. We have distributed hundreds of turkeys to our community at Thanksgiving, stuffed bears to terminally ill children at Christmas, and we sent thousands of pounds of food to victims of hurricane Katrina. On a weekly basis, we send vans into our community to pick up children as well as adults to bring them into our worship services. We have sponsored numerous food banks and partnered with other ministries to care for victims of abuse and addiction.
Reaching Our City
Hosted "City, Thou Art Loosed" featuring Paula White, Perry Stone and Darlene Bishop which impacted the lives of over 7,000 people in the City of Birmingham and surrounding areas.
The Power of Prayer
Distributed approximately 10,000 prayer manuals throughout the city, culminating with a citywide prayer rally where over 2,500 people gathered to intercede on behalf of our city, churches and families.
Convoy of Hope
Point of Grace and friends of the ministry partnered together distributing over 40,000 pounds of food to people in need in downtown Birmingham.
Blessed to Give
In 2007, Point of Grace had the priviledge of taking an offering to the Peoples Church in Kerugoya, Kenya, which paid off the outstanding mortgage on their church and freed them from foreclosure.
On a Mission
Every two years, Point of Grace sends a missions team to Kenya, Africa to minister to the community and spend time at our Mercy Child Orphanage. We have partnered with Evanglist Teresia Wairimu both in the U.S. and in Kenya to host conferences for the international community. |

Along with covenant partners and church members support, Point of Grace has faithfully supported the Mercy Child Orphanage in Kenya, Africa for over seven years. Mercy Child is home to almost 40 children who have been rescued from very abusive and heartbreaking conditions. Their previous facilities were inadequate, so Point of Grace stepped in and purchased land to move the orphanage outside of Githurai, one of Kenya's largest slum areas. We raised over $60,000 to build an updated facility to house 100 children. For just $35.00 per month, individuals make it possible to feed, cloth, educate and house each of our children.
