Point of Grace Church is the spiritual home for many families in our community. In my time as your pastor, I have come to know you as a generous and faithful family who has been willing to face adversity, overcome obstacles and stay committed to the course to see the vision fulfilled. Your commitment has allowed us to accomplish great things thus far as a ministry. Ann and I cannot express our gratitude for your continued support.
Now, God has given us an incredible opportunity and unlimited potential with our new facility. Our fundamental mission as a church family is to lead people to the Lord Jesus through evangelism and discipleship, while educating our people in the truths of our faith and providing for those with physical, emotional and spiritual needs. With this purpose in mind, Point of Grace offers many and varied ministries and programs which engage and serve hundreds of people. To do this work effectively requires that we have functional and ample facilities. While we accomplish a great deal with the space we now have, I have repeatedly heard you express desire to make improvements to our facilities that will enable the church to better meet current needs, as well as prepare for those of future generations.
In response, a preparation process has been conducted over the last several months, through which many of you expressed a readiness and willingness to begin a vision expansion to update our campus, making it more accessible and creating more space to support our programs and ministries. My desire and the desire of your Elders and Council is to make certain as we move forward, we seek a comprehensive solution, rather than a quick fix, in addressing our campus needs.
Over the past several months, our Elders/Council along with our Building Committee, in collaboration with the architectural firm of Rodney L. Sartain, has carefully studied the needs expressed in the preparation process. They have developed a Master Plan that works for us now and for the future of our ministry campus. It is configured in a phased approach, designed to serve our greatest needs upfront. Of course, the success of this endeavor depends on the ministry having the financial resources to bring our plans to fruition. My request is that each of us takes the time to learn about this project.
Please ask the Lord to direct you in your generosity and do what you can to help make this vision a success. Through your prayers, support, and financial commitment, you join yourself with others to not only build a state of the art children’s facility and adult auditorium which will house approximately 500 people, but also your generosity will allow us to continue to see dreams come true.
Please pray that God will guide and direct our efforts in this building campaign to serve the needs of our families and our city. May God bless you abundantly for your generosity.
Sincerely in Christ,
